Assistant Professor Position in Literacy and ESL Education

We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in literacy and ESL education at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the 2018-2019 academic year. Responsibilities of the position include a) maintaining a vibrant funding and research agenda in literacy and ESL education of national/international significance, b) teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and c) enhancing and transforming the newly formed Advanced Literacy Studies area by multiplying the synergies with the ESL education group.

Graduate Assistantship 

Applicants should demonstrate outstanding academic performance, research ability or potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities. Applicants should have a strong background in areas aligned to faculty research expertise and a minimum of two years of K-12 teaching experience. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate and articulate research interest and potential that align with faculty research programs. The application deadline for Fall 2017 is March 1, 2017.
