Change of Major

Must have an overall GPR of 2.75 or higher
Any student with more than 75 hours on their record may not be eligible to change their major.

Requirements for Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students

Transfer students have two (2) semesters to attain a 2.75 GPR at Texas A&M University.
Freshmen students have three (3) semesters to attain a 2.75 GPR at Texas A&M University

If this GPR requirement is not met, students may be dismissed from the department.

Admittance to Teacher Education (TEED) - "Upper Level"

45 hours of completed coursework on the degree program with a minimum of a 2.75 GPR at Texas A&M University
Completion of ENGL 104 and either TEFB 273 or INST 310
Completion of MATH 141 & 142 or their equivalence
Completion of 8 hours of science credit

Meeting these criteria does not automatically guarantee acceptance to Teacher Education. Each semester the most competitive will be granted spaces.
