Early ChildhoodPK-4 Generalist Certification ProgramWelcome to an overview of the early childhood/elementary certification program. The Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture offers students the ability to pursue an early childhood certification program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies (INST). It is a heavily field-based program, with students spending extensive time in early childhood and elementary classes. Credit hours required for graduation in the PK-4 Generalist total 129 credit hours. To enter the certification program, you must first be admitted to Teacher Education. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
