Field Experiences
In partnershop with the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture, area teachers mentor both junior and senior level pre-service teachers.
By starting with some of the best students in Texas and adding an outstanding team of Texas A&M faculty plus the support of excellent mentors in the Brazos Valley, we know we can Always Expect More of Aggie Teachers.

Junior II Program
|
- Junior-level preservice teachers observe and assist mentors as part of their first experiences in authentic classrooms.
- Placement description:
- one-half day per week (8:00 - 11:00 am)
- 12 weeks per semester

Senior Methods Semester
|
- Senior-level preservice teachers enhance preservice training with teaching methods courses and extended field-based experience activities.
- Placement description:
- two full, consecutive days per week (in schools)
- one day on TAMU campus
- 12 weeks per semester

| Student Teaching |
- Final semester of teaching program designed to transition students from preservice teachers to classroom teacher.
- Placement description:
- full-time, five days a week
- 12 weeks per semester
