Pre-service students observe and assist mentors as part of their first experiences in actual classrooms. As deemed appropriate by the mentor, they will take an active role in the classroom. Here are some suggested ways they might assist mentor teachers:
Mentors will provide opportunities for preservice students to experience a variety of teacher-related activities, concentrating on those activities which keep the student in the classroom setting. Students are expected to be punctual and to display professionalism in their dress, attitude, and acceptance of responsibilities. |
