The Student Teacher and Mentor Partnership (STAMP) program matches highly qualified teams of public school mentors in elementary and middle schools with student teachers who have experienced a high degree of success during their Senior Methods Semester (SMS). This teaming technique provides opportunity for student teachers to develop through shared mentoring responsibilities and peer interactions. STAMP is a university-recognized honors program and requires the recommendation of the SMS instructors and field teachers as well as high GPR (grade point ratio) standing*. The development of this unique program encourages team-building and trust throughout the partnership. This teaming approach allows each student to receive continuous and varied feedback from the team of teachers and the student teacher’s peers.
