Clinical Assistant Professor
View Directory ListingMy name is James Laub and I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I received my Ph.D. from Prairie View A & M University, my M.Ed. from the University of Houston – Victoria, and my B.A. from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Education is my passion and I am a strong advocate of lifelong learning.
Before joining TAMU in January 2014, I taught classes in educational leadership at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, as well as supervising principal and superintendent certification candidates for Prairie View A & M University. Prior to teaching in higher education, I served public school students as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent. Prior to entering public education, I served as a Juvenile Probation Officer and in the US Naval Reserve.
I live in College Station, Texas with my wife of 32 years, Joyce, and my youngest son, Jason. My oldest son, Justin, lives in Odessa, Texas with his wife, Aleesha, and grandchildren Lilly Grace who is 4 years old and Dalton Wade who was recently born on my birthday, August 14th – best birthday gift ever.
