Faculty Spotlight
Chance Lewis, associate professor of urban education in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture in the College of Education and Human Development, was recently selected as the Houston Endowment Inc. Endowed Chair in Urban Education.
This selection was made based on Lewis' history of addressing issues to improve the educational experiences of students in urban educational environments. Lewis also is the co-director of the Center for Urban School Partnerships (CUSP) and the co-chair of the urban education program.
