M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction: Emphasis in Reading and Literacy
An online or on-campus Program
Reading & Literacy offers Master of Science (M.S.), Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Curriculum and Instruction. The M.Ed. is offered online or on-campus. In addition to taking a core curriculum shared with all students of Curriculum and Instruction, students will complete courses specific to the Reading and Literacy program. Students also have the option to pursue a Reading Specialist Certification.
The online program offering of the Reading Specialist certification includes both asynchronous and synchronous online classes for students. six courses are offered synchronously, which means the classes occur on set schedules and time frames in conjunction with the face to face section of the course. Students enrolled in those classes will join the face to face class via video conference.
